This show marked Grace Slick's third appearance with Jefferson Airplane as original singer Signe Anderson left the band in October 1966. Some of the songs performed by the Airplane on this four night stand include "3/5 of a Mile in 10 Seconds", "The Other Side of This Life", "Come Up The Years", "It's No Secret" and "Tobacco Road".

The Matrix club opened it's doors for the first time on August 13, 1965. It was started by singer Marty Balin who put together the band Jefferson Airplane as the "house band" for the club. Before closing in 1972 some of the more notable concerts were by The Doors, The Grateful Dead, the Velvet Underground, Janis Joplin and of course, Jefferson Airplane.

NOTE: The cover photograph of Jefferson Airplane that was featured on their classic album "Surrealistic Pillow", was taken at the Matrix.
