As this story opens, Harry Potter is now fourteen years old and he wakes up from a terrible nightmare with a big problem: His scar hurts. After quickly writing a letter to Sirius Black--his godfather--to explain the problem, he joins the Weasley family along with Hermione Granger at the Quidditch World Cup before returning to school at Hogwarts.

"Goblet" features old friends including Albus Dumledore and Hagrid, along with hated enemies including Professor Snape and that bothersome classmate, Draco Malfoy who is back to make trouble for Harry again.

This book also features the introduction of Mad-Eye Moody--who is the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher--and will be teaching Harry and his friends all about Curses.

But the bulk of this long novel concerns the Tri-Wizard Tournament, a contest between Hogwarts and two other Wizard schools which Harry got mysteriously entered into.

All this along with Harry's coming of age--and growing interest in the opposite sex--and signs that an old threat may be re-surfacing make this "Harry Potter" a fan favorite.

Although long in content, "GOBLET OF FIRE" is still full of all the magic and adventure that Harry Potter fans come to expect.
