Modification consists of the opening of your OPPO BDP-83 Blu Ray DVD Player and replacing a ribbon cable with the modification cable (pictured above). It is a simple task that requires no soldering, but if you have never opened any electronics devices we would not recommend it. Detailed instructions along with the pictures are provided with the modification.

This is aftermarket hardware which is not approved by OPPO Digital Inc.  Please install at your own risk. Installing this hardware requires you to open your player and make changes. While no soldering is required, we are not responsible for any damage caused to you or your player.

Please purchase this DIY Kit only if you are completely comfortable with the internals of electronic equipment. You can keep the original ribbon and replace it whenever you like for example warranty issues.
