For sale is a 26-page instruction manual with index, e-mailed to you, for programming the TI calculators.  This teaches you how to program what your professor puts on the black board or gives you as a test study sheet into your calculator for use during the tests (if you’re allowed to use the calculator). When finished your program will look like the screens above (second thru; five pictures) every time you press enter when running the program.  In the above example it's the quadratic formula. The professor will change the variables for the test, but you will enter those new variables, as asked by your program. and all the calculations will change automatically and perfect as you again and again press ‘ENTER’ on the calculator.  You will have a perfect ‘show your work’ and complete solution.  This has nothing to do with C+, C++, Fortran, Cobol or the complicated programming languages. This is simply making the calculator do your problem step by step.

After reluctantly purchasing my first TI-92 calculator as a requisite for a calculus class, I soon found out that it had text ability, unheard of in previous calculators. Also, it could be linked to my desktop computer.  I could easily type the study sheets quickly on my full sized keyboard (eventually scan them) into my desk top computer and then download that into the calculator.  So I started to type in calculus problems (and problems from other classes) from the professors study sheets using them during tests, effectively like an open book test.  I saved them as to what the problem was called, and then used the “find” capability of the calculator to quickly recall them as needed.  It helped greatly except for one thing, it showed me how to do the problem, but the process was slow, and I had to substitute different variables during the tests and sometimes (many times) would screw up on the calculations, and still get the problem wrong.  I needed something better and quicker – then I found the ability to program the calculator, and my college life changed.  I could use the same ‘text’ problems I had already spent so much time typing, copy and paste those into the program mode of the calculator, add calculations, quickly enter new variables when required, and it all showed up screen by screen on the calculator, as I pressed ‘ENTER’. I simply wrote down on my test sheet, each screen until the end of the problem.  All the calculations were there, and the format looked exactly the same as what the professor initially wrote on the black board or study sheet.  I looked, and felt, like a genius, and of course got the problem exactly correct in a minute.  All the practice test problems were already in the calculator then for the ‘final’ at the end of the semester. I found the ability to list all the problems in a pop-up window, to conveniently scroll down to the problem, press ‘ENTER’, and the calculator went to the programmed problem and asked me to enter the variables.  I used it for problems in physics classes, electronics classes, biology classes and others.

I teach all of the programming techniques I used to program my problems in this manual that you can purchase here on e-bay. I use the quadratic formula as an example.

You don’t need to program any calculus problems, because I’ve already programmed them for you, which you can purchase and download also here on e-bay. (Note: if you purchase this manual and my calculus programs I’ll refund via Pay Pal $5.00 to you as a discount). The reason I can sell my calculus problems, and are of use to the purchaser, is that calculus problems are the same in every calculus book, and basically taught the very same all over the world. Physics problems and other classes, on the other hand, are unique to each professor, so mine (outside of lasers and optics and mirrors calculations) wouldn’t do you any good and are not saleable, so you’ll need to program them yourself under your professor’s format, with the use of my manual here on how to do it.

What would you pay for the ability to get even 3 problems absolutely correct (while showing your work) quickly on a final so you could work on maybe other simple or more difficult problems.  Of course this all depends on whether the professor allows you to use the calculator. Mine did, they required it.  Getting two or three more problems correct on a test might move you up from an ‘F’ to a ‘D’, a ‘D’ to a ‘C’ or ‘B’ to an ‘A’.

Nothing in any TI manual will teach you this programming. Nothing on the TI web site or any web site will teach you what I teach you here. To my knowledge I’m the first to do it.  If you don’t agree after purchase I’ll refund your money.  Remember, college teaches you everything you never wanted to know about things that make no difference.  You will Cram, Test, and Forget to get your degree.  At least 90% of what you learn in college, or more, won’t help you, or pertain to, your future job.  On the other hand, this programming knowledge will be useful in college and even in your future job, and the programs you create will follow you for the rest of your life.  You won’t ever sell the calculator because of the programs in it that you either bought from me or created yourself.  Good luck, Tom
