Depression Era - Art Deco, Art Nouveau style
circa 1920's - 1930's
a sweet 14" tall
Small TABLE or "Boudoir" LAMP
The perfect size for a Vanity, Bedside Table or Desk -
a Lovely Accent Piece
The original frosted glass shade is reverse painted by hand with blue and white flowers and green leaves that resemble Forget-Me-Nots! The shade has a very pale lavender hue to the glass - it is a little over 6.5" in diameter and 5.25" high - numbered at the top: 700-248. It has a "pebbly" finish on the edges - not damage but the way it was made.
Excellent, vintage condition!
The cast iron base is painted black with gold trim. It has some minor wear and chipping of the paint. The 4" diameter base is marked: MADE IN U.S.A. No. 163. The wiring appears safe and the lamp works properly.
I have not been able to identify the maker of this lovely lamp, but it could be any of the fine manufacturers of the day such as - Bradley & Hubbard, Moe Bridges, Handel, Miller, or Jeanette.
