Monongah "ARLENE" ~ 8" Water Goblet ~ Green TWIST Stem

This beautiful Water Goblet is from one of lesser known West Virginia glass makers of the early 20th century

~  Monongah Glass Co.  ~ 

They operated in Fairmont, West Virginia from 1904 - 1928, and were regarded - in their day - as a producer of "upper end, more expensive glass..." (Ref. West Virginia Glass - Between the World Wars  by Dean Six - pg. 79)

Collectors will recognize this floral etched pattern as:

"ARLENE"

presented on a green "twist" stem with a green foot - #6102

8" tall, 

3" diameter foot,  3 5/8" wide mouth

Condition:  EXCELLENT, undamaged

- two tiny glass "barbs" on the stem - bits of extra glass from the manufacturing process - slightly rough to the touch but too small to photograph - and one tiny bubble in the stem...
