If you have a MacBook Pro that has a broken Hard Drive, you can mail it to MacUnwired and we will replace the HD with a brand new 160GB 5400RPM Drive.
If you have a MacBook Pro with a small Hard Drive and you would like to upgrade it to a big 160GB Drive, you can send it to us and we will transfer all files to the new big drive and install it into your computer.

2. Pack and ship the computer to MacUnwired following the instructions that will be provided (copy of instructions below).
3. We will replace the computers hard drive within 24 hours of receiving the computer and ship it back to you via USPS priority mail (2-3 days).

All services provided by MacUnwired.net are guaranteed for 30 days from the date of service. MacUnwired can not be held responsible for loss of data during transportation or repair. All data should be backed up before sending the computer in for repair.
About the HD:
A hard drive stores all your files, including your movies, pictures, documents, music, programs, operating system, and everything else on your computer. If you have a lot of files on your computer, or a small hard drive, it is a good idea to get a bigger hard drive so you don't run out of space.
Memory VS. Hard Drives
Many times memory (RAM or Random Access Memory) is confused with your hard drive. A hard drive stores all your files, including your movies, pictures, documents, music, programs, operating system, and everything else on your computer. Memory, on the other hand, is something your computer uses to temporarily store your files when you are using them.
When you open a file on your computer, the computer reads the file off your hard drive. Once the computer has found and read the file from your hard drive, it puts that file temporarily into memory. When the file is in memory, it allows your computer to read and write to the file really fast When you are done working on the file, it saves it back onto the hard drive and clears it from memory.
How to check the capacity of your current Hard Drive:
In order to know what size Hard Drive you currently have in your computer you can do one of the following:
1. Click on the HD icon on your desktop, then press the Apple key (right next to the space bar, and the "I" key. This will bring up information about your HD.
OR:
1.Click on the Apple logo on the very top left of your screen.
2. Select "About This Mac" from the list. A window will appear with some information on it including Processor and Memory fields.
3. Click the "More Info..." button at the bottom of the window.
4. A window will appear with an overview of our computers information.
5. From the list on the left, select "ATA". If your computer has a ATA drive, you will be able to click on the drive in the main window and view all the information about the drive below including the "Capacity".
6. If your computer does not have an ATA hard drive, click on the "Serial-ATA" option in the list, then view the capacity.
How to tell what model computer you have:
1. Click on the Apple logo on the very top left of your screen.
