Ellis Island LIBERTY HSN Porcelain Doll JAPAN Music MIB

Up for sale is a gorgeous, mint in box 16" porcelain doll from the Ellis Island American Dreams Porcelain Doll Collection. Licensed by both Ellis Island (trademark 1987) and the Liberty Centennial (trademark 1982). Ths doll was produced by the Heritage Mint, Ltd and created for Design Debut (a registered trademark of Home Shopping Network - HSN). Her name is "Sumi" and not only is she a beautiful doll - she is also musical - plays "Sakura, Sakura".

The back of her head is stamped with the Ellis Island and Design Debut logos. She is registered as #1466.

This doll is in perfect - never removed from box condition (only removed for photo). There is a water stain on the box but because she was safely stored away in her plastic bag - she is perfect - no flaws. She has her wrist tag and a brochure that provides information about Japanese immigrants into Ellis Island.

Features:

1. Porcelain face, lower arms and lower legs. The upper arms contain a flexible wire that permits the collector to animate the doll.
2. Each piece of clothing is cut and sewn by workers who take pride in every researched detail, including exact costuming and jewelry accessories.
