1972 Topps Test Cloth Stickers PSA-Graded Near Set (32/33). Every card has been graded by PSA. With a non-weighted set grade average of 8.65, instant "#1 PSA Set Registry" acclaim is achieved, and doubtless ensured for years to come. This incredible near set reflects NM-MT 8 to Mint 9 or finer condition in almost every component. One can hardly calculate the staggering level of difficulty inherent in assembling a high-grade set of these fragile and scarce test issue collectibles. The hand-cut items' unusual and delicate composition -- wherein a rectangle of "cloth"-like material containing the piece's image adheres uncertainly to a thin, waxed-cardstock back -- places nearly insurmountable hurdles in the path of the condition-conscious hobbyist. The stickers are prone to separation from their backings, fraying at the edges, and virtual disintegration when subjected to even the most careful handling, but those built-in liabilities are manifest in none of the top-flight specimens comprising this array. The rarity of 1972 Topps Test Cloth Stickers is undeniable, as is the improbability and significance of constructing a bright, uncirculated collection of the magnitude presented here.
