NOTE WITH BRAIDED LOCK OF HAIR -1865

This appears to be a love note with a lock of hair which has been braided.  Hand writing on note is neat, but not is difficult to read due to poor spelling.  Note may be to a child, a parent, spouse or other loved one.  Note reads: "this lok of hair i resite to ? i now persent it to ? ? and if my fase you no more see look on this and think of me."  Question marks indicate words I can't figure out.  Note is written in ink.  Written in pencil on the note is: April 26, 1856.  Written in pencil, on the piece of paper holding the hair in place is: Mary Lodena Johnison, not real sure on the letters that follow John.  Note was held in place with a rusty straight (common pin), which I had to remove to take pictures.  As luck would have it, I dropped the pin (drats!!!).  Should I be fortunate enough to find the pin, I shall return it to it's original place on this item.

We tend to package up the items the evening prior to the mailing day.

We do combine shipping when possible. We do have a $2.00 handling fee, unless otherwise stated. That handling fee is per package, not per item. Ebay is great at sending out invoices right after a listing ends. If you win more than 1 item, please wait for us to send your invoice, as it will be less than the one ebay sent. If you fail to wait for our invoice, you void the combined shipping discount. We try to send our invoice out in a timely manner, usually an hour or two after the listing has closed.

Alway contact us through ebay's message service, we're not very good about checking our email. We check ebay several times a day.
