Up for auction is a VICTORIAN 1 of a kind brides or cake basket standing high on 4 legs formed in the fashion of winged Goddest which may be the Mythical Greek "Winged Goddest of Victory" with a lion watching over the lot in the center of the base of the basket.  The style and design of both the base and the plate are unique and very beautiful.  The basket is tall standing 5.5 to the rim and 13.5 to the top of the finial on the handle and is 11.5 inches long and 8.5 inches high featuring lovely etchings of ivy and vines along with a monogram in the cartouche on one end as can be seen in the picture.  The basket is deep, aprox. 2 inches and has a makers mark along with a number but because of the location of the marks, ( over the head of the lion) it is impossible to make out.

The Small Print

We have many other items of glass, silver and other unusual and one of a kind items including tea, coffee and chocolate pots.  We have many items of silver on auction and will gladly combine shipping.  All our dishes, silver and silver plate is vintage and may show signs of wear from age and use.  We polish our silver to determine the quality and condition but as with all our pieces, additional cleaning will be necessary.  Thank you for looking at our auction and have a great day.

Shipping

We normally ship 2 business days after receipt and verification of payment.  We ship USPS unless the purchaser requests other wise in which case additional charges may apply.  It is up to the purchaser if insurance is needed.  International shipping will be higher.  Please email destination country for a shipping quote.

We do ship internationally but will not be responsible for delayed shipments through customs.
