Description of Item for Sale:

This spectacular three piece set of a sofa and two matching chairs is from France and it dates to the early 1900’s.  This grand scale set is made in the finest French Rococo style of Louis XV.  It is in all around excellent antique condition, ready for use in your home.  The woodwork is all solid walnut finished in a medium/dark color.  The fine quality damask fabric is in neutral colors and it is in excellent condition with little wear, little fading and only one small tear (see photo). There are a couple of light stains hardly noticeable against the fabric patterns.  We have made no attempts at cleaning. Notice the contoured shape of the cushions, custom made and piped to follow the lines of the furniture. All cushions have zipper closures and are stuffed with muslin covered goose down inserts.  The sofa is very special and unique with an elegant curve. This is a quality made set and each piece is large and incredibly comfortable. As these pieces have been in our own formal living room for the last 10 years, there is no funky “antique” smell in the upholstery.  Dimensions: Sofa: 38" high x 122" long x 38" deep. Wing Chairs: 38" high x 37" wide x 38" deep. Delivery/Shipping: For shipping, we will work with you to assure quality shipping for your purchase. However, for things like this that are too large for UPS or the Post Office, the cost of shipping, selection of shipping method and coordination of shipping is the buyer’s responsibility.  We recommend Plycon Van Lines and we will get a quote for you from them-just email us your address.  If you would like to get your own estimate from Plycon visit their website http://www.plyconvanlines.com and fill out their shipping estimate form.  Quotes take a least one business day (not available on weekends).  We will also deliver in the Portland/Vancouver metro area for a flat charge of $100.
