WOW! This is a beautiful alpaca sweater with generous fringe on the neckline and cuffs.  Other than that, it is plain and simple.  What I call a traditional sweater with a kick.  Slightly cropped. Fringe is hand-knotted to the sweater.  The natural sheen of alpaca hair is easily seen on this piece.  Melange fibers add depth to the alpaca pullover. All handmade in Peru.

Alpaca Secrets:  Alpaca hair is an Earth-friendly fiber that does NOT require dry cleaning.  It can be washed at home with shampoo.  Remember that alpaca fiber is not a type of wool, rather, it is a type of hair.  Also, it does not require frequent washings.  Unless food/drink works its way into the fibers, alpaca need not be washed.  Pungent odors can be eliminated by hanging the alpaca garment in a well ventilated area overnight.  Even cigarette smoke can be dissipated in this manner.
