Antique French Gilt Bronze, Marble & Wedgwood Clock

This special clock dates to the Louis XV period of the late 1700’s.  It is in excellent running condition.  Everything about this clock is correct and in excellent antique condition.  The marble is a very bright white with almost no stains and no chips or cracks of any significance.  The original gilding is also in wonderful condition with very bright highlights.  The only damage of any note is a small amount of chipping around one of the winding holes on the face (see photo).  The 8-day clockworks are complete, keep excellent time and run reliably.  The clock strikes once on the half hour and tolls out the hours on a bell chime that has just the right sound.  We guarantee that this clock is a genuine 18^th century antique, complete, original and in great condition!  NON-USA BIDDERS: please contact us for shipping information before you bid-thank you!  Dimensions: 20” tall, 14“ wide, 4“ deep.
