This little Book has just come off the press and will be signed by the Editor and Publisher.

In 1877, C. L. Hunter published Sketches Of Western North Carolina, Historical and Biographical. Much of the information in this book had never been published before.

Mr. Hunter's book has long been out of print, and if you could find a copy, it sells for hundreds of dollars.

This book, Lincoln County During the Revolutionary War, is excerpted from Mr. Hunter's book. It is exactly as Mr. Hunter wrote it, with all the idioms of speech, punctuation, and spelling that was used at the time. It also includes some addition information. The Tryon Resolves, The Halifax Resolves, and the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence are also included.

One of the most interesting chapters is on General Cornwallis' route through Lincoln County.

The cover of this 80 page book features Tarleton's Tea Table. This rock now sits on the Court House lawn, and it is reputed to have been where Colonel Banastre Tarleton took his afternoon tea.
