RUSSIAN N.M. ROMADIN (1903-1987) ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING

 

It is original oil painting on plywood mounted in a beautiful modern frame; measures approx. 11 x 19 inches; Signed on the lower left in Cyrillic N. Romadin and dated 1967. The painting and frame are in very good condition.

Romadin's works can be found in many museums in Russia and all over the world; The most known are: The Russian Museum; The Tretyakov Gallery, The State Museum of Revolution in Moscow, the art Collection of Moscow Surikov Art Institute; The State art Museum; The Russian Museum, St. Petersburg and many more.

Romadin N. M. (1903-1987)

 

 Born in Samara 1903; Studied at Samara Art Tech School 1922-28; Moscow VKhuTeMas/VKhuTeln 1923-30; Active in Moscow. Began exhibiting 1929; Member of AKhR from 1929; He was a Member of the Academy of Arts and  became a soviet academician; Awarded Stalin Prize in 1946; the title People's Honored Artist of the USSR and gold-medal winner of the Lenin's State prize;  Outstanding landscape painter. N. Romadin is listed in A Dictionary of Twentieth Century Soviet and Russian Painters 1900-1980s by English Scholar Matthew Cullerne Bown.
