RUSSIAN A. YABLOKOV 1911- 1986 ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING

It is original oil painting on canvas mounted in a beautiful modern gold gilt frame; measures 17 1/2 x 22 inches signed in lower right. There is second painting on the back of the canvas. The painting and frame are in very good condition.

Yablokov, Anatolli Ivanovich (1911-1986)

Born in 1911 in the village of Lyakhovo, Kostroma region. A. Yablokov received special education in Yaroslavl Art college and afterwards in Odessa arts School, which he graduated in 1932. He took part in arts exhibitions since 1936. Personal exhibitions were held in 1955, 1958, 1961, 1962, 1971, 1972; in Gorky in 1958 and in Kirov in 1959. A. Yablokov took part in several international arts shows in Finland, Japan, Spain, Singapore, New Zealand, and Poland. A. Yablokov was the founder and the first director of Kostroma regional art gallery. His creative works continue the traditions of Russia realistic landscapes he presents modest and quality beauty of Russian North. A. Yablokov??s works can be found in several museums of Russia: in Moscow, Kazan, Kirov, Kurgan, Chita, Kostroma and ets.

Yablokov, A.I. is listed in the Dictionary of Twentieth Century Russian and Soviet Painters 1900-1980 by the Britain Scholar Matthew Cullerne Bown.
