Please make payment by paypal within 7 days of completed auction. Combined shipping options default to settings for individual books; if you are purchasing multiple lots, request an invoice and there will normally be a larger discount for media mail options. For multiple items with different shipping modes, the most cost-effective mode will be used. Request an invoice if you have a preference. Please contact me with any questions.
Shipping Costs: Shipping charges are set based on the kind of item you purchase. For single books, generally shipping charges match standard industry costs. Most individual books are shipped in bubble wrap envelopes; most priority items ship in flat rate envelopes. Exceptions are made for specially valuable or large items. For lots, shipping and handling charges are generally set on a cost plus basis. The estimated media mail rate plus $2 is standard. The $2 covers delivery confirmation, packaging supplies, and the additional work entailed in creating pictures, describing listings and packaging. Most lots come in boxes; some smaller lots may come in a bubble wrap envelope.
Ship Dates: We normally ship on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (although holiday weeks have an adjusted schedule). Generally, I prepare shipments late the evening before those dates, so if your payment clears late in the evening, it may not be released the next day.
Shipping Times: The speed of shipping is determined by the type of shipping chosen. Media mail normally takes between one and two weeks, though it can sometimes take longer. Since my items ship from Maryland, items shipped to the West, Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico may take longer. Items upgraded to priority mail generally take 2-3 business days once shipped. At holiday seasons, shipping will take somewhat longer. For lots, we generally offer media mail as my standard option, as priority rates vary by size, weight, distance in sometimes unpredictable ways. If you wish to upgrade a lot, please contact me prior to paying and we can provide a quote for priority mail.
For International Shipping: Please contact me for a quote prior to ordering. I will try to get quotes to you, though sometimes it may take several days. For lots, the costs can be prohibitive, so please do not purchase something if you are not sure the shipping costs are reasonable for your needs.
We have been selling online for almost 10 years. We sell items on multiple venues; on ebay, our focus is on popular individual items, some limited collectibles (especially first editions), and lots of books that allow savings by combining shipping. Off and on I've had an ebay store, but as ebay policies change, so do my strategies.
