"At the Drive In" Ceramic Bookends with Crown Victoria Russ Berrie & Company Inc. Item #17812. Made in China. Not dated. From old store stock, at least ten years old. Size: 8" tall, 12.5" wide, 6" deep (when together) Condition - Ceramic. Never used, never displayed, no
chips, no defects, no crazing. Your valuable collectible is well packed,
protected and in great shape! Each piece is individually inspected for damage
before I send them out; I personally look at every item to ensure the quality

retail storeroom warehouse - still great for gift-giving! The term drive-in has come to refer to any type of commercial business in which the customers drive their cars into the establishment and servers or employees come to the car to conduct business. Drive-in restaurants, which not nearly as popular as drive-through restaurants, remain a fun and nostalgic destination across America. The first drive-in restaurant, according to many, was The Pig Stand in Dallas, Texas, which opened its doors (and parking spots) in 1921. Through the 1950s and 1960s, drive-ins hit the height of their popularity. They are forever entwined in our memories with classic cars, poodle skirts, ice cream sodas and malts, and the waitress on roller skates. In these beautiful ceramic bookends, the drive in comes back to life on your shelf, supporting those classic car manuals. It features a 1950s Crown Victoria - complete with hooded headlights and whitewall tires. The front half of the car emerges from the right bookend, and the tail end comes out of the left side. The car is maroon on the bottom and white on top with a maroon roof. The trim is metallic silver paint. The front and rear license plates read "DOO WOP". The inner part of both bookends features a Drive In boomerang sign and a bright green and yellow storefront. What a perfect way to add some funky nostalgia to your bookshelf!
