From collectibles to electronics, buy and sell all kinds of items on eBay Stores USS MIDWAY CV-41 naval cover with pictorial postmark from Dayton, Ohio dated June 13, 2009. Color photo of actual ship on cachet #3820 by Alvin Eckert USCS #9964. Cover franked with 44 cent American flag stamp and 3 cent Naval Review stamp. She is now open to the public at the foot of Broadway in San Diego, sponsored by a non-profit carrier vets group. Built toward the end of WWII this proud carrier made six deployments to Vietnam waters between March 1965 and December 1975. She was retired from service and found her San Diego retirement home in 2004. Check out my other items!
