Case is the perfect blend of R&B and hip-hop. His vocals defy the hardcore rapper impression conjured by his appearance. On this, his third album, Case dims the lights once again, continuing his tried and tested formula of soft-spoken soulful ballads.
His songs are all heartfelt tributes to women, whether focusing on love, relationships, or sex. With cuts like "Missing You" and "Love of My Life," Case proves he isn't afraid to show his true feelings. But on "Not Your Friend" and "Sex Games," he displays another side of himself, at times even sounding like an old-school singer, particularly on the Stevie Wonder-influenced "Shine."
