This set covers has units on the short story, nonfiction, poetry, drama, and the novel with a unit on Steinbeck's The Pearl.

Ideal for homeschoolers.

This set contains the following books:

1) Hardback student text 908 pages in  good condition.  No visible writing besides student name written inside the front cover.  The binding in not as tight as a brand new book but the book has plenty of use left.

2) Softbound Manual 251 pages in very good condition.  Helps you guide your student to make sure comprehension is obtained.  For each reading selection there is an introducing the selection section,  teaching the story section,  and answers to the questions presented in the student text.   Makes it very easy to discuss the selections with your student. 

3) Assessment book with selection, section and unit tests.  192 pages with an answer key.

4) A 60 minute cassette with audio from some of the selections.  Looks okay but I did not play it all the way through.  Also included is a pamphlet of teacher's notes for the audio selections.

5) A 27 page booklet on vocabulary and critical thinking which includes an answer key.
