 The ErgoSoft Foam "Natural" Latex Mattress Pad offers a great improvement

This fine springy foam is hypoallergenic and

The ErgoSoft mattress toppers
are both eco-friendly and ergonomic as they are made of pure 100%
Natural White Latex that has no synthetic ingredients; perfect for sensitive
and green-conscious people who are looking for an alternative to synthetic
bedding products. Also, our 4.75 lb density (16 – 18 IFD*) latex
has perforations for air ventilation to help keep you cool and the topper
fresh and dry. All these elements come together to offer orthopedic support
that distributes your weight evenly and reduces painful pressure points.
 Natural Latex vs. Talalay Latex
We have found that many people prefer "Natural Latex"
over "Talalay Latex", which has a percentage of synthetic materials.
The synthetic additives in Talalay Latex give the final product a more
consistent appearance, which some manufacturers prefer so that they can
control the look and feel. The downside with Talalay is that you lose
the opportunity to have a completely natural and hypoallergenic product.
Please note, that as a result, our natural latex foam pads
have slight imperfections (cracks and ripples). This is
not a defect and has no effect on the mattress pads fit and comfort.
It is poured into a mold that has small posts that make the ventilation
holes and these holes make for small irregularities in the edge of the
mattress pad, this is completely normal.
Natural Latex vs. Memory Foam
Latex is known for its long-lasting durability,
and gives a luxurious feel. Because latex is springy and resilient,
it is great for heavier people, as it will
recover time and again. Latex also has a more firm feel, making
it great for people who prefer a firm sleep surface. Our natural
latex mattress pads are springy yet soft, and are also anti-microbial
and hypoallergenic. Memory Foam, on the other hand is temperature-sensitive,
synthetic polyurethane visco-elastic foam, which adjusts to bodyweight
more readily. Memory Foam "remembers" or recovers
from body impressions more slowly than springy latex foam and the visco
foam will eventually lose its ability to recover.

What is Indentation Force Deflection (IFD)?
In order to have at a unified measurement, Indentation
Force Deflection was created to compare ‘softness’ or ‘hardness’ of
foam used in the upholstery industry, it is a measurement of the pounds
of force needed to indent a 4" thick sample of foam 25 percent
of its thickness. This is the most accurate measurement
to look at for comparing firmness; yet many sellers shy away from printing
this information, preferring to just give the "pound" rating
of the foam, which is not the whole story. We have found that the rating
of 16-18 IFD is the most comfortable and resilient for latex foam. |
