V.FINE VICTORIAN SILVER PLATE DOMED BREAKFAST SERVER
BY THE FINE MAKER JAMES DIXON & SONS ~ A RARE BEAUTY !
This is a very fine and quite desirable Victorian English Silver Plate revolving dome breakfast server with the original two liners, which is a rare find, as one is almost always missing. The server in excellent condition with only a minimum of surface age use, and a few tiny dots of wear marks on one liner. The bone button is slightly loose, but at least it's not missing and it would be a super easy repair, I just have so much Silver to list I did not have time to address it. This beauty is marked J.D. & S, EP, with incised Clover symbol, dating to the late 1800's, by one of England's finest Silver firms James Dixon and Sons. The server measures approx. 14" wide (including handles), with the liners measuring 9-1/2" by 6-1/4", a nice practical size for use, with no base metal showing through on the domed server itself, honestly it looks even better in real life. This is part of a huge estate we are handling, really one of the finest we have had in years, so be sure to Click here to see many more antiques and decorative arts. I am sure this would sell for a handsome price at any antique show or shop, but with my low opening bid and NO RESERVE someone could score a huge bargain !! Don't miss out...bid now !!

The reflection of the camera can look like large black spots of wear, I would never list anything with such large black spots, I pick out only the best pieces to sell individually.

Returns:
We make great effort to accurately describe each item listed. Returns are accepted, if either condition, country of origin or dating is significantly incorrect. In such cases we refund your shipping costs as well. Like you, we are only human, and make mistakes. Hopefully, not too many. But remember, the items you see are antiques. Hence, have an expected amount of wear from normal use. As such, returning an item because we failed to mention the tiniest bit of wear, or barely discernible flaw is not acceptable. Nor do we accept returns based on buyer's remorse, change of taste, or because a buyer did not realize how "small" four inches might be once in hand. Also all returns must be posted within 3 days of delivery confirmation.
