Betty Crocker's Picture Cook Book

Revised and enlarged - second edition, year 1956

This 5 ringed hardcover cookbook is in good condition. I don't see any writing in the book.  There are terrific pictures consistent with the 50's and really outstanding recipes!   

This book has so much more than recipe books of today - definitions, how to serve everyday beverages, names kitchen utensils, has hints and quick tips, and suggestions for many happenings (pick me ups for hot weather,  soup tricks, supper on the porch, candy carnival and so on...)

The front cover of the book has begun to split from the spine at the bottom.  It is still attached but the outer fabric has split, but not the inside seam.  The pages are crisp with no wrinkles, bends, or tears, but the front page is not attached to the rings, other than that the book is in great condition. .  I saw one page with two very small stains page 233 and a small red mark on page 115.  Other than that  the  pages are in great clean condition for the age of the book.
