      What is being auctioned is a brand USB telephone Caller ID adapter for displaying telephone Caller ID display as a pop-up windows on computer screen. It is actually a USB modem device that people has been used for dial-up Internet connections before DSL/Cable modem high-speed Internet is available. Today, it is still being used by many people as a computerized caller ID box that can run with your desktop and laptop computers. It supports Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP and Vista. It also support Linux.

        Connect this device to a USB port on your PC and a telephone line; when there is an incoming call, the caller's telephone number(*) and name will be instantly display on your computer's screen by a small pop-up window. Thus you can decide either to pick up or ignore the call based on who is calling. Furthermore,  the device can also be set up to block telemarketing calls automatically.

        It also supports "Caller ID over LAN", by which the caller ID of an incoming call is forwarded and displayed on other computers connected to the network!       
       
        This is a small but great gadget that provides convenience for receiving phone calls, especially favored by many small and home business users because it helps them to tell if or not a phone call is from their customers while they are working in front of their computers.
