Report itemThis chart table lamp appears new, but is not. It came from the inventory of a British Ship Lamp maker who closed their doors over 20 years ago. The name of the company was Bocock & Sons Ltd of Birmingham England. This company made all sorts of navigation and maritime lamps. They made the Seahorse , Davy & Co., and Neptune labels to mention a few. They produced marine lamps at their factory in Birmingham for decades. They supplied many a sailing ship hardware and lamps during the 19th Century and some of their lamps, to this day, can be seen on the museum ship Cutty Sark in Greenwich. I unwrapped this chart table lamp from its 20 year old wrappings in order to take the photos you can see below. You will have to wire the lamp yourself and also mount the copper reflector hood to the adjustable brass lamp arm. To mount the reflector you will need a couple of washers and a short bolt. The chart table lamp is made of solid brass and copper...the bulkhead mouting flange is stamped "Made in England". Awesome chart room lamp of high marine quality that you cannot buy anywhere today, but from me. They dont make them like this anymore. The lamp arm, when it is extended straight out, measures 30 inches, not including the 4 1/2 x 4 inch copper reflector hood. As you can see from the photos the lamp can be adjusted to any position you desire. There is also a swivel fitting or rod inside the mounting flange which if loosened allows for additional adjustments....so ahoy matey, here you are...the real McCoy ships chart table lamp right out of an authentic ship lamp factory in England.
