BONHEUR DES DAMES OR, THE SHOP GIRLS OF PARIS BY EMILE ZOLA. Pub. by T.B. Petereson  Brothers, Philadelphia. There is no date of publication on the title page. The copyright date is 1883 by the publisher.  This is the english version translated by John Sterling. The book is in very good condition. The cover is green with gold lettering on the front and spine. There is also black design on the front and spine and black lettering on the back cover. There is edge wear mostly at the corners and spine ends. The spine has darkened but the lettering is still  very visible. The front hinge is showing the mesh and feels loose but is still holding well enough. The back hinge is very good and the pages are clean. 6" by 7" with 538 pgs + 22 pgs of ads.
