He was twice nominated for a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role for his performance in Absolutely! (perhaps) at the Wyndham's Theatre in 2003 and again in 2007 for his performance as Polonius in the RSC production of Hamlet at the Novello Theatre. He had a regular role as Peter Foxcott QC in Kavanagh QC. His books include Playing Lear, an account of his experience while performing King Lear at the Almeida Theatre, and Performing Shakespeare. He recently appeared as Polonius in Hamlet with the Royal Shakespeare Company... On an index card, Davies has signed his name... A digital 5½x8½ inches photo of Davies is included...
