5 Padparadscha Marquise Cut Faceted Montana Sapphire

Montana is known for it's Big Sky country, as well as its sapphires!  At most of the deposits, they are alluvial in nature, and that's the case with these, which come from Dry Cottonwood Creek outside of Deer Lodge.

Weight:          0.52 carats combined weight

Dimensions:  4.0 mm to 4.1 mm x 2.3 mm to 2.1 mm;  1.6 mm to 1.4 mm depths

Clarity:            VVS to VS

These stones are technically pink to orange/yellow bicoloreds, but the topside effect of the coloration is that they're practically the equivalent of the Sri Lankan padparadscha.  Inside they are quite clean, with only a few imperfections visible under the loupe, and the set should be eye-clean.  Imagine these 5 stones set as the petals of a flower around a center stone...  No reserve.

I try to give the best representation of color as possible with artificial light pics.  When it's not as my eyes see it, I do my best to make note of that.  I list the scale weight of my scale, which has been consistently accurate.  Please understand that your mileage may vary slightly.  This stone has been heat treated.

USPS First Class shipping within the US is $2.95, because charging more than a five-spot to ship small stones is just plain revenue enhancement.  I'm happy to combine purchases for one shipping charge as well, with one combine period lasting 7 days from the first auction won.  Non-USA bidders please contact me in advance for a shipping quote, as many foreign countries restrict the importation of precious stones.  I will not falsify international shipping documents, so please don't ask.
