HERE IS A NICE VINTAGE PORCELAIN/METAL TABLE LAMP. THE PORCELAIN PIECE HAS A NUMBER 14797 AND THE WORD "GERMANY" ON THE LOWER BACK. THOSE ARE THE ONLY MARKS I CAN FIND ON THIS ITEM. THE PORCELAIN PORTION IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR SCRATCHES AND THE METAL PORTION LOOKS LIKE IT COULD HAVE BEEN A LATER EDITION TO THIS ITEM. THE PROCELAIN DEPICTS A YOUNG COUPLE AND THE MAN IS PLAYING WHAT LOOKS LIKE A LUTE, BOTH DRESSED IN I BELIEVE 16TH OR 17TH CENTURY CLOTHING. THE METAL PORTION HAS SOME PLATING LOSS, RUST ON THE BOTTOM AND THE BOTTOM FELT IS MISSING. THERE IS NO LAMP SHADE FOR THIS ITEM. THE CURRANT LAMP HAS A 3-WAY LIGHT SOCKET AND IT DOES WORK WHEN PLUGGED IN. THE CORD IS IN FINE CONDITION WITH NO BREAKS OR CRACKS IN THE OUTER SHEATH. THE TOTAL HEIGHT IS 12 1/2" AND THE PROCELAIN PIECE IS 6" TALL BY 5 3/4" WIDE. NOT SURE WHEN THIS WAS MADE, POSSIBLY EARLY 20TH CENTURY, WITH THE ADDITIONS TO IT MADE PROBABLY IN THE 50'S OR 60'S.
