Sony Lasermax laser disc player LDP-1500 #P

As seen in the attached photo,

This laser disc player has an open/close button, play, fast forward and rewind, and pause. A button selects between either or both audio channels and there's a repeat on/off switch. A 1/4" phono connector on the front for headphones has a level knob. On the back are a coaxial connector for video, two RCA connectors for audio, a male rectangular 8-pin connector labeled "TV", a small one-pin connector labeled "lock pulse", and a 25-pin D connector labeled RS-232C. There's also a power outlet. On the front is a 1/8" phono connector for a remote control, but no remote is included.

How the unit was tested:

A laser disc was inserted and the unit started playing correctly, but after a few minutes it suddenly stopped and restarted at the beginning of the disc again. This behavior was consistent on both sides of the disc, and the disc played correctly on other laser disc players, so this may indicate a flaw in the unit in need of repairs. The unit may also serve as a source of spare parts.
