Vintage Underwood Elliott Fisher Portable Typewriter

This is a Vintage Underwood Elliott Fisher Portable Typewriter which came out of a downtown Philadelphia estate and it is in good looking and in working condition. The decal in the back reads ''Underwood, Underwood Typewriter Company, Protected by United States and Foreign Patents, Manufactured in Bridgeport Conn., U.S.A., Product of Underwood Elliott Fisher Company.'' In 1928 Elliot Fisher was acquired by Underwood and based on the black cloth covered wooden case it likely dates back to the 1940Ü#39;s or earlier. It features advanced styling, upbeat red color, and glass covered keys. There is some slightly paint wear at the lower edges but given itÜ#39;s age this typewriter is in remarkably good condition.

This is a portable typewriter which was well ahead of itÜ#39;s time whether you want to add it to your collection and/or place it on display. In the fitted case it measures 5-7/8''x12''x12-1/2'' and weighs 15 pounds.
