The Short Reign of Pippin IV by John Steinbeck

 

 This Steinbeck is of particular value as it came from the personal library of Charley McDowell, famed journalist (Richard Times-Dispatch and Virginia and Congressional historical expert) and former panelist on "Washington Week" and "The Congress.  This is one of a number of books from his collection which are being auctioned this week, including 6 early edition Steinbecks. McDowell's signature on flyleaf is shown in second photo.
