The film includes lots of violence intended to send an anti-violence message. BILLY JACK: A box office success with an attractive plot for modern-day youth. Laughlin stars once again as war hero Billy Jack, who fights bigotry and injustice with karate-trained effectiveness. THE TRIAL OF BILLY JACK: The third in the BILLY JACK saga features Billy as a philosophizing crusader going on trial. The climax is gripping. BILLY JACK GOES TO WASHINGTON: The finale of the BILLY JACK saga has Billy exchanging his denim and duster for a suit and tie and a seat in the U.S. Senate, where he can fight for peace, well, peacefully, although don't be surprised if there's a great karate scene in there somewhere.
