Condition of the books is very good-hardcovers with dust jackets. 8"x10" Red faux leather boards with gilt title. Books are excellent and feel like they were never opened. Dust jackets have mild shelfwear and the usual factory cut out so the volume numbers can be seen. Volume #2 dust jacket and pages are a bit wavy.
Please take some time to enjoy all the photos below the text to get a sense of how they justified calling this an 'ENCYCLOPEDIA'. It is so cool to see how the ideas and designs presented here have morphed into the IKEA,
Dwell, Pier 1, or Design Within Reach clean and minimalist styles of today.
This set is an unequalled compendium of every great home design idea from the 50s, 60s, and early 70s. It's all here- Mid Century Modern, Modernist, Scandinavian, Danish Modern, Hollywood Regency, Space Age Atomic, Op Art, Pop Art, hippie chic, and more.
Interior decorating for every room of the house is covered, and outdoor living space too. Floor plans, windows -walls-floor coverings, childrens' rooms, kitchens, baths, textiles and so much more.
