SAILING SHIP MODEL PLANS - BLUEPRINTS - THE WANDERER- WHALING BARK- MAKE YOURSELF FROM WOOD . From New Bedford Mass. The last active vessel of the New England Whalers. She was built at Mattapoisette in 1878. Her tonnage and dimensions were 288 tons net; 116 ft. long, 27 ft. beam; 16 ft. draft. The articles and illustrations were written by Capt. E. Armitage McCann. Published in PS Mag's 1938. Restored and compiled by Don G. Smith. This booklet is 28 pages long. Booklet format is high resolution grey scale ( same as in POMags) and printed on 20 Ib paper 8 1/2" x 11". The articles, detail drawings and blue prints have been painstakingly restored to a very clean readable condition. All the BLUEPRINTS ARE 11" X 17", detail drawings have been blown up to fit on a full page for easier reading. Booklet has been bound using the plastic comb binding method with heavy 60 lb paper front and back covers. Covers not included in page count. A completed model built by hand with care is a master piece of art that lasts for hundreds of years and as it ages it grows in value. These model sailing ships are one of the most common types of art works on display in an office and add an air of richness to any room and fascinate most people when they see a well built model.
