Cool Old Cotton Men's Hawaiian Shirt: Bird of Paradise

Here for your collecting pleasure we offer an excellent men's crisp cotton shirt.  The shirt is in a cool jazzy reverse print of tropical flowers such as bird of paradise and white ginger interspersed with banana leaves, all in shades of deep gold, variegated greens, tan, cream, and red with dark highlights on a rich soft black background. This shirt is a grand one that looks crisply new although it has been gently worn; it is still in great condition and is a noble old piece. Its styling is classic mid to late 1980s. The shirt retains its original nubby-faced coconut shell buttons still intact and features longer length stitched-down collar points, box ease pleat at center yoke back, overcast seams, 3 3/4" long slits at hemline side seams, and perfectly matched pocket with a deep center point. The original embroidered label is present and reads, 'Cooke Street, Honolulu,' in black on dark cream.  This shirt is a medium size and measures 24" across the chest when laid flat, 24" across the waist when laid flat, 19 1/2" across the shoulders from seam to seam, and 28" from shoulder to hem, with 10" long sleeves. It is well designed and well executed. This is a very grand and cool Aloha shirt. The shirt is in great condition with no fading, spots, stains, dirt, holes, or underarm damage that I can find. This piece has been in storage for many years. The colour is great; it is still wearable and in excellent condition for its age. The shipping for this cool fun shirt will be $6.50. The shirt comes to you from an owner who is a professional theatrical costume designer and collecter of vintage clothing. It has been carefully kept in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment, an antique-filled household where it has been archivally stored away from sunlight for the past several years and has been treated with care, affection, and appreciation. We recommend that this item not be hung on any hanger but that it be stored archivally, padded and wrapped with undyed, acid-free full-cotton muslin and kept flat in a trunk or chest out of the light. A highly desirable addition to any collection, it is a grand piece and has looked great in my collection but now I am preparing to relocate and don't want to move all these hundreds of items.
