Why is the gasket thickness so important??? If the diaphragm gasket is to thin, the voice coil will sit to far into the magnet gap decreasing the drivers efficiency, causing the tweeter to not play as loud. This will also create excessive heat, casing the diaphragm to fail.
Why is the DCR (Direct Current Resistance) so important? If the DCR is to high, then your tweeter will not play as loud. In turn you will need to increase the power to achieve the same volume. Again this will also create excessive heat, leading to another blown diaphragm and may cause damage to the amplifier. If the seller does not list the DCR, how do you know if what you get will work correctly.

hat is the difference between our Pro Parts diaphragm and the original JBL diaphragm? The housing. The Pro Parts housing is made of composite plastic, the JBL housing is made of cast aluminum.
How does the composite plastic housing affect the performance of the diaphragm? The housing does not affect the performance of the diaphragm at all. The housing only holds the parts in place.
