Argus Matchmatic Harry Potter Prop

·        This is the model camera used by Colin Creevy in the 2^nd Harry Potter movie.

·        This one is complete. This one includes the original light / exposure meter. Amazingly, it still responds to light. The vast majority of Argus meters have long since died.

·        The Matchmatic is a special version of the venerable Argus C-3 “Brick.”

·        This model was made from 1958 – 66. This one is fairly special as it is a late production and only about 12,000 were made in the plant where this was made.

·        Camera is in good working condition.

·        Viewfinder window has a light haze. The range finder has the nearly universal problem of heavy haze. I’m told this is easy to clean, and does require removing a couple pieces. This usually means mechanical disaster when I do it, so I won’t.

·        Flash bulb is included.

·        Sometimes referred to as the Poor-Man’s Leica. It does have interchangeable lenses, it is a rangefinder camera, and it is all metal.

·        Made in U.S.A. (Makes it an odd choice for Harry Potter)

SHIPPING: Shipping in the Contiguous 48 states with delivery confirmation is $10.70.  Shipping may reflect a handling charge.

International shipments: ASK ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES OUTSIDE THE U.S.A.  Packages sent outside the USA will be insured where possible and the shipping charge will reflect the US Post Office charge.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

• Packages being shipped to China will be sent Express Mail only due to the many packages that have not been delivered, and excessive claims.
• Shipping to any country where US Post Office insurance is not available will be shipped via Express Mail
• Normal shipping outside the US is Priority Mail

Refund Policy: Items that are not as described will result in a refund of the bid amount upon return of the item in the condition in which it was shipped.  This does not apply to finding a small scratch when the description says minor surface wear or similar issues.  If a package is damaged in transit, and if it was insured, the buyer must cooperate in filing the insurance claim (not a big deal).  The box and packing material must be kept and available for the post office if an item is insured and damaged in transit.  If an issue is not addressed in the description (I attempt to provide comprehensive descriptions) or if the bidder doesn’t understand the description and he or she did not ask a question about it, no refund will be made. Note: if the Post Office damages an item and still delivers it, it will refund only the bid amount and not the postage.  I will not make up the difference.

International packages generally require insurance unless they have a very low value. The usually means Priority Mail.
