Golfe du Mexique avec les isles Antilles.

Fine and decorative 1784 Delamarche's copper engraved chart including present-days the American States of Florida and Louisiana, Mexico, Panama, Costarica, West Indies and portion of Southern America. Map is filled with a lot of topographical and geographical details.
Printed area approx.: cm 26,8 x 20,2
Paper size approx.:     cm 27,9 x 21,9
Strong and dark impression on very strong paper. Original colors to the outlines. Paper with chains. Good margin to the top. Small lower margin. Lateral margins cut very shortly. Top right corner partially missed. Map with foxing. Map folded as issued. Conditions are as you can see in the images.
Cartographer: Felix Delamarche was the Royal Geographer to the French King, having succeeded Vaugondy in the position, and is seen as one of France's foremost 19th Century map makers.
