EARLY ZUNI SILVER & SNAKE EYE TURQUOISE ROW RING

~*~Early Zuni Ring~*~

Here is an early Zuni ring. It is C. 1930's. It has 12 snake eye turquoise stones. The turquoise is natural and has matrix though they are only 2mm in diameter. The stones are set in plain bezels that come up over the top of the stone-the old way of setting a stone. Each stone is surrounded with either 8 or 9 tiny hand dropped raindrop. It also has the old style of placing raindrops along the side. It has a rich dark crusty patina down between those raindrops. The shank is split 4 times with a cold chisel. It is hand stamped with designs that include arrows. The ring is formed of wrought silver, hand made sheet. It weighs 9 grams. A highly sought after early piece. Row rings are so hard to find! Especially pieces with such detail. It is a size 9. C. prior to 1935. What a great find!
