All 34  Chess Pieces are  Plastic Tournament Staunton and have Felted Bottoms. These chess pieces are the recommended standard for chess tournaments in the United States. 

The tournament standard chess pieces are ideal for chess clubs,  chess schools and etc. These chess sets meet all chess tournament standards and regulations. They are a standard design and have a 3 ¾" tall King with a 1 ½" base. The green felt paper on the base helps the pieces to glide smoothly on any type of board.  Each set comes with a complete set of chess pieces - 16 white pieces and 16 black pieces and 2 Extra Queens. It is fit our chess board(20" x 20" with 2-1/4" squares).
