~**1930's Train Station Navajo Ring**~

From my private collection, here is a very early Navajo ring. It was made about 1930 for the commercial train station tourist market. It is a nice heavy earlier one. As time went on, they became thinner and lighter, but this one weighs in at 8 grams! The stone is a natural green and does have an old crack, but is stable in the setting. The face of the ring measures 25mm x 16mm. It has a simple raindrop border and the stone is flanked by a Thunderbird on each side. Birds are stammed and applique. Band is stamped on each side with a cross. It is a size 5 1/2. What a great find!
