The titles represent a list of famous texts covering subjects such as magic spells, demonology, law, botany, and astronomy. Some, such as the Poeticon Astronomicon, have been familiar to scholars since the second century AD. Others are known only by their legendary (sometimes notorious) reputation. The covers of these blank miniature books have been recreated from a variety of attractive antique volumes.
