A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.

Franked with 3 cent UCV Civil War commemorative stamp. The cover honors Civil War General William H. Jackson, born October 1, 1835 in Paris, Tenn. He was a West Point graduate (Class of 1856) that resigned in 1861 to joint the South as a captain of atillery. He was wounded at Belmont and was promoted to Colonel and later Brig. General in December 1862 after serving in six excellent commands. His leadership stood out in the Holly Springs Raid on the Federal suppy center. General William "Red" Jackson also fought at Meridian, Atlanta, Kennesaw Mountain, Lovejoy's Station, Franklin and Nashville. He survived the war, took up throughbred horse breeding and died on March 30, 1903 at his farm near Nashville. His Belle Meade stables produced several champions. Check out my other items!
