Sonic Electronix limited warranty for Polk Audio Speakers
SUBWOOFER AND SPEAKER SYSTEMS LIMITED WARRANTY
Sonic Electronix warrants Polk Audio subwoofers and speakers to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of 1-year from the date of original purchase with receipt. Should service be necessary under this warranty for any reason due to manufacturing defect or malfunction during the warranty period, Sonic Electronix will repair or exchange (at its discretion) the defective merchandise with equivalent merchandise at no charge apart from shipping costs to and from our company. Warranty replacements may have cosmetic scratches and blemishes. Discontinued products may be replaced with more current equivalent replacement products or store credit will be given if no replacement model is available. The amount of store credit will be equivalent to the most recent listed price of the product.
This warranty is valid only for the ORIGINAL PURCHASER and is not extended to owners of the product subsequent to the original purchaser. Any applicable implied warranties are limited in duration to a period of the express warranty as provided herein beginning with the date of the original purchase at retail, and no warranties, whether express or implied, shall apply to this product thereafter. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties; therefore these exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; however you may have other rights that vary from state to state.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED WARRANTY OR SERVICE
Prior to returning defective merchandise to Sonic Electronix for warranty, the customer must first request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. You may request an RMA number via Internet at http://ebay.sonicelectronix.com/. Upon logging into your account online, simply choose “Return Merchandise” and you will be required to complete a small form. You may also request an RMA by phone at 1-877-289-7664, ext. 291 through our warranty and returns department.
The RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of the return package. If no RMA number is included on the outside of the returned package, our receiving department will refuse the package. For subwoofer and speaker returns, the return of only defective components (tweeter, crossover, plug, etc.) is required unless the product is discontinued and/or our warranty representative informs you otherwise. For electronics returns, we recommend the complete electronic product is returned along with harnesses, adaptors, and any accessories related to the operation of the product being returned. The return of functioning items and accessories may increase your return freight charges; however, it also increases your chance that your product’s defect will correctly be analyzed and all problems will be resolved. Non-defective items received will be returned freight collect or must be paid by the customer prior to return shipment.
Packages returned to Sonic Electronix must be prepaid; items sent freight collect, or COD, will be refused.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED?
This warranty is valid only if the product is used for the purpose for which it was designed.
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage due to improper installation.
- Subsequent damage to other components.
- Damage caused by exposure to moisture, excessive heat, chemical cleaners, and/or UV radiation.
- Damage through negligence, misuse, accident or abuse. Repeated returns for the same damage may be considered abuse.
- Burnt voice coils (blackened, no continuity, melted adhesives, coil separated from the former).
- Punctured or damaged surrounds.
- Broken speaker terminals.
- Bent, chipped or broken frames.
- Ripped spiders or damaged back plates.
- Any cost or expense related to the removal or reinstallation of product.
- Speakers damaged due to amplifier clipping or distortion.
- Electronics damaged due to amplifier clipping or distortion.
- Items previously repaired or modified by any unauthorized repair facility.
- Return shipping on defective or non-defective items.
- Products with tampered or missing Sonic Electronix labels or specific manufacturer serial numbers, tags or labels.
- Products returned without a Return Authorization (RMA) number.
- Freight Damage (goods damaged due to shipping must be reported within 7 days of delivery)
- The cost of shipping product to Sonic Electronix.
- The cost of shipping product from Sonic Electronix upon completion of repair or replacement.
- Service performed by anyone other than Sonic Electronix.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR SUBWOOFER OR SPEAKER SYSTEMS SERVICE TO BE COMPLETED?
Sonic Electronix strives to maintain a goal of 48-hour service upon receipt for all acoustics returns (subwoofers, midrange drivers, tweeters, crossovers, etc). Delays may be incurred if lack of replacement inventory or parts is encountered. We will make every attempt to notify you if such a backorder occurs.
