is the Scoop: There are several Indiana Jones hats in the Officially
Lucasfilm Licensed Indiana Jones line. There are several styles and
types. The hat we have here is the CRUSHABLE-WATER REPELLENT Wool
Fedora with the vintage look. Made as a true Fedora it
is manufactured to appear vintage, a worn, used and faded dusty look. Dorfman
calls this look The Indiana Jones Vintage Distressed Hat. It is brand new with
the official Indiana Jones Logo tag and the Lucasfilm trademark. Inside
fabric sweatband is imprinted in gold ink with official Indiana Jones
logo.
The
difference between the basic Wool Fedora and the Crushable Wool Fedora
is the more expensive crushable version is made so that if you sit on
your hat or dent it you can "Pop" it back into shape. It has a "Memory"
so it can easily be reshaped as needed. The Basic Fedora is rigid, hard
wool felt, if you sit on it or dent it you will have to take it to a
professional to have it reshaped, re-blocked. It is worth the few
dollars to get this Upgraded Indiana Jones hat.

How to measure your head for proper fit.
Have someone help you, take an accurate seamstress measuring tape and place it around the circumference of the your head, about an inch above the ears. Place the tape where you want your hat to rest. Usually, that is just above the center of the forehead in front, and on the upslope of the back of the head. Because the back of your head is more angled than your forehead, it helps to have someone hold the tape in place in back. If you still aren't sure where to measure, you might want to put on a hat to see where it rests on your head, then measure where that hat rests. Keep the tape snug to make sure you get an accurate measurement.
