The Westmoreland Glass Company was founded by to brothers in 1889. In the 1920's - 1930" The company specialized in high quality cut glass. In 1937, the family business was sold. By 1940, the company phased out the high quality cut glass and began to mass produce milk glass.
In the 1980's, business was sold again to an inexperienced businessman.
As a result, the company went out of business in 1984.
