DANISH Modern TEAK Wood Arm CHAIR Retro EAMES Era

We have here another wonderful find in this Handsome Danish Modern Arm Chair.

It stands about 32 inches tall, measured from top of seat back down to floor. It measures about 21 inches across, measured at seat back, across entire back including wood frame at either side of upholstery. The Seat measures about 21 1/2 inches wide measured across front edge and the arms rise about 26 1/2 inches above the floor. The seat itself rises about 18 inches above the floor. We have not been able to find a Maker Mark or other identification on this Arm Chair.

It has been crafted of teak, quite rich and very warmly grained. We love the clean lines of its Danish Modern period with the gentle tapering of its four legs and the gracefully curved shape of both its arms. The Simulated Leather Seat Cushion is permanently affixed to the chair frame. This exterior Warm Pumpkin colored vinyl-type covering is, for the most part, in lovely vintage condition. However, please see in the photographs which we have provided for your inspection, that there is some wear to the upper portion of the back rest at the back view of the chair. It is visible but only in a minor way and if the chair is to be placed facing away from a wall, nobody would be the wiser.

With the exception of some minor fading at the area of the top of the arm rests, the frame is also in very good vintage condition. We imagine that a bit of warmly-toned teak stain first applied to a soft cloth and then rubbed gently over those arm rests would probably alleviate that condition issue. Naturally, there are always some expected few areas of minor surface wear and age-related patina which we generally encounter in such lovely older pieces. For example, as you will notice in the last photograph, there is a tear in the seat's under covering.
